Terms of service
Last updated 1 August 2026
The short version. Use it for people who expect to hear from you. Do not use it for spam. It is beta software provided as-is, and your contact data lives in your browser — so keep your own copies.
1. Agreement
These terms apply to your use of StarlineSales at starlinecart.com. Using the service means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind it.
2. Beta status
StarlineSales is in invited beta. It is free, it is incomplete, and it may change or become briefly unavailable. Features described anywhere on this site may change. We will give account holders notice before introducing any charge.
3. Your account
- Accounts are created by an administrator. There is no self-registration.
- Keep your password to yourself and do not share your account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- Tell us at once if you think it has been compromised.
4. Acceptable use — email
This is the section that matters. StarlineSales can send email from a mailbox you connect. You are the sender. You are responsible for every message and for complying with the law wherever your recipients are, including CAN-SPAM, PECR, GDPR and CASL.
StarlineSales does not yet add an unsubscribe link or maintain a suppression list. Sending unsolicited commercial email without an opt-out mechanism is unlawful in most jurisdictions. Until those features exist, use StarlineSales only for people who have already agreed to hear from you — existing customers, enquirers, and people who asked you to follow up.
You must not use StarlineSales to:
- Send unsolicited bulk or commercial email to people who have not opted in.
- Email anyone who has asked you to stop.
- Use purchased, scraped or rented contact lists.
- Misrepresent who you are, or use a false sender address or subject line.
- Send anything unlawful, deceptive, harassing or malicious.
- Attempt to breach the security of the service, or use it to attack anyone else.
We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used this way, without notice where the harm is ongoing.
5. Your data
Your contacts, companies, campaigns and drafts are stored in your browser and never sent to us. We cannot recover them for you. Export regularly; clearing your browser data deletes them permanently.
You keep all rights in your data. We claim no licence over it, because we do not hold it.
6. Third-party services
StarlineSales connects to services you provide credentials for, such as your mail provider and OpenAI. Their terms apply to what they do, and their charges are yours. We are not responsible for their availability, and disconnecting them in Settings stops us using them.
7. Availability
No uptime commitment is offered during the beta. Sending runs in your browser and stops if you close the tab — that is how it works, not a fault.
8. Warranties
StarlineSales is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any email will be delivered.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, or lost or corrupted data. Because the service is currently free, our total liability is limited to £100.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from email you send using StarlineSales, including complaints from recipients and action by regulators.
11. Ending it
Stop using it whenever you like; ask us and we will delete your account. We may end your access for breach of these terms, or at the end of the beta with reasonable notice. Your data is in your browser either way — losing your account does not delete it.
12. Changes
We will email account holders before material changes take effect. Continuing to use the service afterwards means accepting them.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. Contact
